Happy Sunday- REAL SCHOOlS WEAR PINK!

Today I'm enjoying a beautiful Sunday. The weather is gorgeous, sunny, and cool enough to leave the window open to cool us off. I'm finally feeling good. My energy came back Saturday night and I began to feel normal again. What a relief.

I have to tell you about Thursday. Miss Debbie came by from my school with lots and lots of cards from the students there. They had a "Pink Out Day" where the faculty and staff could get out of uniform in my honor and wear pink. They then took the photos of each class and made a class card. They looked very handsome. She immediately handed me a letter from one of my students and my kids went to the car to help her carry in the mountain of cards and a gift basket full of spa treatments and very nice treats. I was overwhelmed! I thought, "how did our students get to be so nice?" Really! They are learning to appreciate others and what people go through thanks to the teachers there. They wrote things like, "don't worry I was in the hospital too. My aunt has cancer too. I hope it isn't too bad. By the way, Happy Mother's Day! We miss you, you are nice, come back soon." I sat on the floor and I would read a funny one out loud to my husband and start to cry. It was just so nice. It took about 45 minutes to read them all and my youngest and her friend had to read them all out loud to each other. Emergent readers they are! But they thought it was Christmas! The basket was so nice- I need something for my feet and skin. It's sorta peeling and I'm going to love using that. I love apple scent and those were my favorite cookies, how did you figure that out? It was so thoughtful. My girls love to do foot spas with me too. Everyone looks handsome.

I really needed to know people care this week, ya know? I still have waves of feeling like garbage! It will just hit me and I'll want to tell everyone to be quiet cause my nerves are terrible, my tummy hurts, and I'm exhausted. Then an hour later I'm fine! I'm just not used to feeling sick and I'm not a good sick patient person. Today I'm better and it's such a blessing to feel good again. I have about a week and a half before the next one- a week from Friday.
