Ahhh Mountain Get Away!

We had the best time in Angel Fire, Taos, and Red River. No radio, telephones, 65-70 degrees each day, 40 at night. What a blessing that place is. Kids had fun hiking and exploring. My 19 yr old nephew Christian kept me laughing each day and saved me hundreds in therapy. Laughter is the best medicine.

I'm so proud of Alexis for making it up on top of the tallest mountain in the state w/ her cousin and Grandfather. I planned on making that hike but my doctor told me "no hiking". So they wore Clay's shirts and waved scarves on the top.

The hummingbirds are everywhere and they will land on your finger if you wait and let them get used to you.

Unfortunately my expanders got really tight in the high elevation. It was funny - felt like they would pop! My feet were going numb, finger and toenails hurting, at least they aren't black yet. Fatigue set in like never before. I'm resigned to a diet of potatoes and rice for now- boring.
