Today I'm a little nervous. I go to see the Oncologist for the first time and discuss chemotherapy. I've been told to expect it and that due to the size of the tumor she'll probably want me to do it however I've never even met her and still hold out hope that maybe she'll say no. But..... come what may and love it. Either way it will all be okay.
It's been a tiring week. Clay started ground school and is studying every night. My parents and many others have come over to help keep up with laundry, housework, driving to Dr.'s appointments, and getting kids off in the morning. Thanks Browns, Joneses and Ganschows! My house looks great. Dad hung curtain rods and shelves and I love the way it changed the rooms!!
I had a set-back on Tuesday. I'd overdone it and didn't get my drains out. Went in Thursday and got 2 out! Yeah! Only one more to go. I'm much more comfortable now and can't wait until Tuesday to get the other one out if it's ready.
Life is good. I'm so happy about everything right now. Kinda strange I know but I don't take for granted the little things, like being able to use my arms, wash my hair, or open the fridge to get something to drink. Everyone has to do everything for me and it's frustrating to ask. It's frustrating not to be able to put a clip in my hair to pull it back. I hope I never complain when I get to lift my arms again!
I hope you're all safe and well, and avoiding catching this flu! My school district closed down just to be safe.

Good luck with meeting your oncologist and whatever the treatment may be will be for the best. Let me know if you ever need anything.

Karen, Wish I lived close enough to take in dinner. Isn't it amazing what we all take for granted. We have so many blessings if we just stop to count them. Hope all goes will with the oncologist and that you don't have to do chemo.
How did the doctor's visit go? We are so glad that you are doing well.
