Blue Bonnet Retreat

Attended an amazing retreat for survivors at Garret Creek Ranch held in Paradise. TX in October. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from the city and be pampered by amazing people.

Photos of the radiation room and the team of therapists on the last day.

I'm nearly 4 weeks past radiation and can feel the side effects slowly going away. It's very exciting. I'd forgotten what it was like to feel decent.

Wow! 4 weeks out? That's terrific. Isn't it amazing how those radiation therapists become like friends? I didn't mind it so much at all.

I'll bet your hair is growing ... ;-)

I'm so excited that you are done. I loved all the cute stages when my Natalie's hair was growing back, I'm sure it is different on a little one than on a grownup though.

I've meant to tell you for a long time how touched I was when your daughter did a performance of "I Will Survive" at the primary talent show earlier this year. I was just watching it, enjoying her cuteness and the sassiness of the song, when suddenly the song and meaning hit me like a ton of bricks, and of course I cried. I thought of you and cried and thought of my Natalie a four year old cancer survivor (at the time--five now!) and cried.

That is awseome Karen! Glad you had a good time at Garrett Creek Ranch. I love that place. Would like to teach yoga there.
